Aduriz in dreamland after downing Barcelona

Athletic Bilbao striker Aritz Aduriz says the club winning the Spanish Super Cup was the second best day of his life.

Aduriz, who is in his third spell with the club, scored four goals over the two legs to ensure Athletic saw off European champions Barcelona 5-1 on aggregate.

"If you'd written a script it would have been impossible for it to turn out this way," he told ligabbva.com. "Winning a trophy is the greatest thing that could have happened to us and even more so because it happened against Barcelona.

"It's incredibly satisfying to win a trophy. For me, it's the best thing I could have possibly hoped for. Now we've achieved something special, and it will make us stronger.
