Decomposed body found on Blackpool beach

Police are investigating after a decomposed torso was found on a beach in Blackpool.

Fisherman Michael Cartwright made the grim discovery near Bispham on Sunday morning.

He told the Blackpool Gazette: “It was like a torso. I am not sure if it was male or female. It was next to the sea wall."

Police confirmed a body was found on the beach but it was yet to be identified.
