Police release CCTV footage after Ferguson shooting anniversary violence

Police in America have released CCTV footage which they say shows a teenager pulling a gun from his waistband shortly before he was shot by officers.

A state of emergency was declared in St. Louis County in the US following violence in the town of Ferguson during events to mark a year since the police shooting of unarmed black teenager Michael Brown.

Tyrone Harris, who was shot by police during Sunday's memorial, has been charged with four counts of assault. Police said the CCTV shows him with a gun.

Images have begun to emerge following gunfire at the Michael Brown memorial event in Ferguson, Missouri.

Two people were reported injured in the shooting, their condition was not immediately clear.

The shooting appears to have occurred as police sought to disperse demonstrators following a day of peaceful events commemorating Brown's fatal shooting.
