Calais migrant crisis: UK-French centre to tackle traffickers

The UK and France have announced new measures to prevent "undocumented migrants" entering the Channel Tunnel by tackling the criminals who smuggle them to Calais and across the Channel.

The plans include the creation of a joint police operation aimed at tackling the people-smugglers who profit from the desperation of those trying to reach British shores.

A trafficker's price list: Lorry drivers among those charging migrants to get into UK

While most lorry drivers caught up in the Calais migrant chaos are innocent workers facing only travel misery, ITV News has found that some truckers are doubling as people traffickers to smuggle migrants into the UK.

During an undercover trip, an undercover reporter working for ITV News posed as a migrant, and was offered several routes and prices to get to England by lorry drivers, in exchange for cash.
