Tributes pour in for F1 driver Jules Bianchi

French Formula One driver Jules Bianchi has died, nine months after sustaining severe head injuries at the Japanese Grand Prix.

The 25-year-old's family said he had "fought right to the very end", while his team said he was "destined for great things".

The hashtag #RIPJules was soon trending as tributes poured in flooded in from drivers - including Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button - and F1 fans.

Jenson Button: Bianchi was a 'real fighter'

Formula 1 champion Jenson Button has paid tribute to Jules Bianchi, calling his fellow F1 driver a "real fighter".

Button's message appeared on Twitter, alongside tributes from many others to Bianchi who died nine months after sustaining severe head injuries at the Japanese Grand Prix.
