Corbyn reiterates opposition to extending Syria air strikes
Jeremy Corbyn the Labour leadership contender has reiterated his opposition to any extension of the air campaign to Syria.
I am not persuaded at all that a bombing campaign on Syria will actually achieve what it's intended to do, that it could then be followed by a pressure for us to send in ground forces and then we are straight back to Iraq and all the horrors of that.
I think we have to determine very carefully where Isil came from, where they get their money from, where they get their arms from and what brought them about.
