David Cameron unveils first all-Tory Cabinet in 18 years

David Cameron - the first Conservative leader to win an outright majority for 23 years - named his ministerial team.

Sajid Javid took the job of Business Secretary and Boris Johnson was handed a non-ministerial role while he remains Mayor of London.

A number of female MPs, including Priti Patel and Amber Rudd, were also promoted to leading positions.

Tears as Lib Dem senior command falls like dominos

Business Secretary Vince Cable, Treasury Secretary Danny Alexander, former leader Charles Kennedy and Simon Hughes all fell, while at one point it looked like Nick Clegg himself would be toppled.

In all, it was a terrible night for the Liberal Democrats.
