Election 2015: Final hour of polling

After six weeks of campaigning there is just one hour left to cast your vote in the General Election.

Six weeks of campaigning officially come to an end today as the British public went to the polls in the General Election.

Polling stations open at 7am and close at 10pm, with the first results due to start coming in from around an hour before midnight.

Green Party's Natalie Bennett casts her vote

Natalie Bennett arrived at her polling station near London's King's Cross this morning with three Green Party members bearing the party's rosette.

Ms Bennett wished photographers a good morning as she made her way into the Ossulston Tenants' and Residents' Hall to cast her vote.
