Dortmund confirm Man Utd target Gundogan will leave
Dortmund have confirmed midfielder Ilkay Gundogan will not be renewing his contract with the club, amid widespread speculation that Man United are closing in on his signature.
The 24 year-old's contract expires in June 2016 but the Bundesliga club are expected to sell him this summer rather than let him leave for nothing next year.
Dortmund, who will also lose manager Jurgen Klopp in the summer, confirmed on Twitter:
"Ilkay Gundogan has decided not to renew his contract."
Bayern Munich may compete for Gundogan's signature, but the German international is thought to favour joining Man United.
