Police release CCTV images of three 'heist' suspects

Police have released CCTV images of a van and three suspects wanted in connection with the Hatton Garden Safety Deposit raid.

Scotland Yard said the trio were "highly audacious" and entered the building in London's jewellery quarter twice over the Easter weekend.

The images have been released by police after CCTV footage apparently showing a gang of burglars carrying out the raid was published by the Daily Mirror.

Police examining Hatton Garden heist 'CCTV' footage

Police are examining CCTV footage apparently showing a gang of robber pulling off the Hatton Garden gems raid over the Easter weekend.

Images published by the Daily Mirror show at least six men reportedly arriving at the Hatton Garden Safe Deposit company's building on Thursday night.

A Scotland Yard spokesman insisted officers were already aware of the footage, along with images captured by other security cameras, before it was published by the paper.

The force has also "not made any links" between the raid and an underground fire in London's Holborn area days earlier which caused widespread power outages and road closures, the spokesman added.
