David Cameron will have the final word on ITV's Leaders' Debate show on April 2nd after the seven political parties taking part in the programme drew lots to determine the order of their podiums.

The Green Party's leader Natalie Bennett will make the first opening statement during the two-hour debate.

ITV confirmed that the leaders will appear on screen, left to right as follows - Natalie Bennett (Green Party), Nick Clegg (Liberal Democrats), Nigel Farage (Ukip), Ed Miliband (Labour), Leanne Wood (Plaid Cymru), Nicola Sturgeon (SNP) and David Cameron (Conservatives).

The drawing of lots for the podium positions also decided the order in which each leader speaks on the opening and closing statements and on the initial answers to the audience questions.

ITV has asked the audience for their questions, as well as ITV viewers, who have been asked to submit questions via debate@itv.com. The questions will not be seen by the leaders in advance.

The audience of around 200 people has been selected by polling company ICM. It is broadly demographically representative of the UK. It is also politically balanced with around 20% 'undecided'.
