Two suspects charged with Boris Nemtsov murder

Two suspects have been charged with involvement in the murder of Russian opposition leader Boris Nemtsov, a spokeswoman for the Moscow Court has said.

Five men have been detained over the killing of the vocal Kremlin critic, who was shot four times in the back as he crossed a bridge in Moscow last week.

One suspect 'admits involvement in Nemtsov killing'

One of the suspects charged with the murder of Russian opposition leader Boris Nemtsov has admitted to his role in the killing, a court has heard.

The judge, sitting at Moscow's Basmanny court, said Zaur Dadayev had confessed to investigators that he was involved in shooting Nemtsov four times in the back as he crossed a bridge in the city last week.

He was remanded in custody until April 28.

Three other suspects have also been detained in connection with the killing, while the court has yet to make a decision on whether to detain a fifth man, Anzor Gubashev, who has also been charged with involvement in murder.
