Baftas 2015: Boyhood wins coveted Best Film honour

Boyhood, which starred Ethan Hawke, Patricia Arquette and Ellar Coltrane has won the Bafta best film award and best director for Richard Linklater.

Eddie Redmayne was given the leading actor honour for his role in The Theory of Everything which was also named outstanding British film.

Film about Stephen Hawking's life scoops Bafta awards

Finally, the film about Professor Stephen Hawking's life took two of the top prizes at the Baftas. It scooped Outstanding British Film and the Best Actor prize for actor Eddie Redmayne. Boyhood won best film, and The Grand Budapest Hotel also did very well.
