Baftas 2015: Boyhood wins coveted Best Film honour

Boyhood, which starred Ethan Hawke, Patricia Arquette and Ellar Coltrane has won the Bafta best film award and best director for Richard Linklater.

Eddie Redmayne was given the leading actor honour for his role in The Theory of Everything which was also named outstanding British film.

Julianne Moore wins Leading Actress Bafta honour

The Bafta for leading actress has been awarded to Julianne Moore for her role in Still Alice.

During her acceptance speech Moore thanked Bafta for "including me among these beautiful performances".

The Still Alice star plays a woman struck down by Alzheimer's in the film and thanked her Scottish relatives who "poured love into me".
