Bolton youngster thought Man United move was a joke
Andy Kellett could not believe that Manchester United wanted to sign him on loan for the rest of the season, before joining the Premier League club, according to Neil Lennon.
The Bolton defender thought he was returning to League Two Plymouth on loan, but will instead spend the coming months at Old Trafford.
"He hadn't got a clue. He was on his way to Plymouth. He thought I was winding him up," Bolton boss Lennon explained.
"It took a good five or 10 minutes. He wouldn't believe us. We told him to ring his father and we'd tell him, and once that happened I think it started to sink in.
"It's a great story but now he's got to knuckle down and learn."
