Steven Gerrard to leave Liverpool at end of season
Steven Gerrard is to leave Liverpool this summer, the club has announced.
The 34-year-old's contract expires at the end of the season and he will finally leave Anfield after a 25-year association with his boyhood club.
Numerous media reports suggest Gerrard will consider offers from MLS clubs Los Angeles Galaxy and New York Red Bulls when his contract expires.
Former teammate Jamie Carragher said Gerrard's decision was a "sad day for Liverpool and English football".
