There were cheers and shouts of "monster" from the public gallery as Ray Teret was jailed for a string of historical sexual offences today.
A number of complainants in the case were present for the sentencing and there was applause as Mr Justice Baker jailed Teret for 25 years at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court.
Teret shook his head as his sentence was passed.

The judge said Teret's "ill-judged cynicism" that his victims would not come forward was matched by his belief that the jury would not believe their accounts.
