Around 10,000 people remain without power in Skye and the Western Isles following a lightning strike this morning.
Engineers have restored power supplies to around 17,000 homes, Scottish Hydro Electric Power Distribution said, but it warned continued lightning strikes "mean further faults are likely".
"We hope to restore supplies to all customers by 1pm," a spokesman added.
Wintry showers will move across Scotland and Northern Ireland, with a few light showers in Devon and Cornwall.
