Former DJ Ray Teret found guilty of historical sex allegations
Jimmy Savile's DJ colleague Ray Teret has been found guilty at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court of a string of historical sex allegations.
Ray Teret's abuse 'devastated' victims as young as 13
Former pirate radio DJ Ray Teret's abuse had "devastating consequences" for some of his victims, who were as young as 13, the chief crown prosecutor for the north west of England has said.
Speaking outside Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court, Nazir Afzal said many of the girls abused grew up believing the abuse had been their fault.
"It was never their fault," Mr Afzal added, praising their "collective courage" which he said had "brought Teret to justice".
