World of cricket pays tribute to Phillip Hughes

Tributes have been paid to cricketer Phillip Hughes who has died, aged 25.

The Australian died two days after being struck on the head by a bouncer while batting for South Australia against New South Wales at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

Australia Test series delayed following Hughes death

Australia and India have agreed to move the first Test to Adelaide as part of a reshuffle in the schedule following the death of batsman Phil Hughes.

The first Test was planned to take place in Brisbane on Thursday but will be move back by a week in order to allow the players more time to recover after Hughes' funeral on Wednesday.

"Nobody should underestimate just what these players are going through right now," Cricket Australia (CA) chief executive James Sutherland said in a statement on Monday.

"These are difficult days and we need to support them in dealing with their grief.

"It's very clear that playing a Test right now is just too soon and we are reacting accordingly."
