Death toll from snowstorms in New York State rises to 12

At least 12 people have died as a result of snowstorms which have hit New York state in the US.

Around 5ft of snow has struck and a further three feet is forecast to hit, as the New York Governor Andrew Cuomo declared a state of emergency for ten counties.

A year's worth of snow in three days in New York State

People in New York State have been trying to dig themselves out from under a year's worth of snow that has fallen in just three days.
