David Cameron chairs Cobra meeting on IS threat

David Cameron was briefed today about the ongoing hunt for Islamic State (IS) militants responsible for the murders of Western hostages.

The Prime Minister chaired a session of the Government's Cobra committee where he was updated by intelligence chiefs about their progress in trying to track down militants responsible for killing westerners including US hostage Peter Kassig.

RAF Tornado destroys Isis communications vehicle

The Ministry of Defence has released a new video showing the moment a communications vehicle reportedly belonging to Islamic State militants was destroyed by a missile from an RAF Tornado jet in northern Iraq.

According to the defence headquarters YouTube channel, RAF Tornado GR4s conducted an armed reconnaissance patrol over western and northern Iraq this weekend, where they engaged the Isis target in the western desert.
