Prince Harry led tributes on behalf of the Queen at a remembrance service in Afghanistan today, the Ministry of Defence said.
The Prince flew into Kandahar where he joined remaining British troops for a service at the base, which included a silent vigil to the more than 450 British servicemen to have been killed fighting the Taliban.
He laid a personal wreath and gave a reading before lining up with fellow servicemen and women for The Last Post and Reveille played by musicians from the Royal Artillery Band.
During his brief visit, the prince also met with British servicemen and women from 31 squadron of Norfolk-based RAF Marham.
A minute's silence was held before all the football games over the weekend - including little Charlie's.
