Django Unchained actress charged with lewd conduct

Django Unchained actress Daniele Watts - who claimed she was arrested by police because of her race after being found in a parked car with her boyfriend - has been charged with lewd conduct.

Watts, 28, and her partner Brian Lucas, 43, were charged with the offence and could face up to six months in prison if convicted.

The actress, who starred alongside Leonardo DiCaprio in the Oscar-winning film, said she was arrested in Los Angeles in September for "showing affection", adding that she was "humiliated" by the incident.

But police said the pair were held following complaints that the couple were "involved in indecent exposure" in a silver Mercedes.
