Lynda Bellingham said today she was in "a good place" after making public her decision to end her treatment for cancer within a few weeks.
The former actress and presenter, has been battling colon cancer cancer for the past year. Her cancer has spread to the lungs and liver, despite undergoing a gruelling schedule of chemotherapy.
In a message to her old colleagues on ITV's Loose Women today she thanked the public and her friends for their support.
You have no idea how much it means to me. But please understand I am in a good place. It is essential to feel you have some control of your life.
Bellingham said she plans to stop treatment in November, as she would like to see one last Christmas. She continued:
Grasp it all, don't be afraid, enjoy the bits you can and tell your family you love them while you have the chance. Again thank you for all the years of support you have given me. You are the Loose Women and we are the best.
The Democratic presidential candidate may also have shown his cards on his choice of running mate.
The US president also shared a post on Twitter accusing Dr Anthony Fauci of misleading the public over hydroxychloroquine.
