Benefits Street star: Tory policies won't gain the vote of benefit claimants

A star of the Channel 4 series Benefits Street has said that she believes the Chancellor's welfare reforms are designed to appeal to the "hardworking person" who begrudges those on benefits.

Deirdre Kelly, also known as White Dee, said: "I don't think he's going to be getting the votes of anybody who is part of the welfare system".
