First best live act Q Award nomination for Kate Bush

Kate Bush has been nominated for two awards at the annual Q Awards on the strength of her stage return after 35 years.

Bush is up for best act in the world today and best live act. It is the first time she has been eligible for the live nomination in the awards' 25-year history as she had effectively retired from live performance after her only real tour in 1979.

The event - officially called the Xperia Access Q Awards - is staged on October 22 and hosted by Absolute Radio presenter Christian O'Connell.
