A man accused of beheading a grandmother with a machete in her back garden has refused to appear via video link at the Old Bailey.
25-year-old Nicholas Salvadore is accused of killing Palmira Silva in the garden of her home in Nightingale Road in Edmonton last Thursday.

Nicholas Salvador, 25, of Gilda Avenue, Enfield, north London, also faces a charge of assaulting a police officer, Scotland Yard said.
