WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange has told reporters he will be leaving the Ecuadorian embassy in central London "soon".
The 43-year-old Australian said his decision to leave was not for reasons "reported by the Murdoch press" but did not elaborate.
Reports suggested he requires hospital treatment for heart and lung problems.
Julian Assange has hinted at unspecified health "difficulties" - mentioning in particular the lack of outdoor space and sunlight at the Ecuadorean Embassy in London where he has been holed up for two years.
The Democratic presidential candidate may also have shown his cards on his choice of running mate.
The US president also shared a post on Twitter accusing Dr Anthony Fauci of misleading the public over hydroxychloroquine.
