Amal El-Wahabi, 27, whose British husband is believed to be fighting in Syria, has been found guilty by an Old Bailey jury of funding terrorism by arranging to send 20,000 euros in cash to Turkey at his request. Her friend Nawal Msaad has been cleared.

Wife of alleged jihadist soldier helped fund terrorism

The wife of a suspected British jihadist fighter in Syria has been found guilty of funding terrorism.

Amal El-Wahabi, aged 27, arranged to send 20,000 euros in cash to Turkey at the request of husband Aine Davis.

But her friend Nawal Msaad, also 27, who was found with the money stashed in her underwear as she boarded a flight at Heathrow, was cleared of the charges.
