The leader of the Islamic State, formerly Isis, has released the first audiotape calling for jihad since the group renamed. The group is currently battling Iraqi forces across large parts of the country.

Terrorists will return to western countries 'radicalised'

A spokesman for the Iraqi prime minister has said ISIS fighters will return to western countries "radicalised and militarised," after fighting in northern Iraq.

Zuhair al-Nahar, a spokesman for the Iraqi prime minister Nouri al-Maliki, told the BBC:

"It will also be a huge security threat to the West, because many of these terrorists have come from the West and will return radicalised and militarised and will pose a huge security threat.

"They are a force that needs to be tackled by the world and it needs to be done now."
