British-born gunman Elliot Rodger, who stabbed and killed his US college room-mates before embarking on a shooting rampage, convinced authorities that he was not a threat during a welfare check to his home last month.

Victim's father condemns gun controls after shooting

The father of one of the six victims killed in a shooting rampage has slammed the National Rifle Association (NRA) and politicians for the death of their son.

Christopher Martinez's father blamed "craven, irresponsible politicians and the NRA", adding "they talk about gun rights, what about Chris's right to live?".
