Marvel Comics confirm the 'Death of Wolverine'

According to an interview with news website Entertainment Weekly, executive editor at Marvel comics Michael Marts has said that Wolverine will come up against an adversary "he cannot win against."

X-Man who holds mutant healing capabilities will meet his end in a four-issue mini-series starting this September named 'Death of Wolverine', after 40 years entertaining fans.

Marts explained that “For a long time, no matter who Wolverine was battling, he’s been the eternal victor.

“He almost always comes out on top. Now he finally comes up against an adversary that he cannot win against, he cannot fight.”

The character’s death will be teased this summer in the storyline '3 Months to Die, and that fans should be prepared for what Marts says a “world without Wolverine."
