A "sexual deviant" who lured a 17-year-old girl to her death has lodged an appeal against his whole-life sentence for murdering the teenager.

Jamie Reynolds was sentenced at Stafford Crown Court in December after admitting murdering Georgia Williams.

Williams' body was found woodland near Wrexham in May last year.

His solicitor had issued a statement in January stating the 23-year-old would not be appealing against the life term.

But today the Court of Appeal confirmed he had lodged an appeal against the sentence, reportedly on the grounds that his age and guilty plea were not given sufficient weight.
