Ms Lawson was apparently barred from boarding a flight from Heathrow to Los Angeles at the weekend.

During the trial of her and ex-husband Charles Saatchi's personal assistants, the 54-year-old admitted to taking the class A drug.

An eyewitness told the newspaper Ms Lawson attempted to board a British Airways flight but was turned away.

The onlooker said: "She didn't seem to say much but she did not look happy. She could not get on the flight so she had to turn around and leave."

A spokesman for the television cook refused to comment on the report.
