Two footballers charged in relation to quenelle gesture

The Football Association has charged Hull striker Yannick Sagbo and QPR loanee Benoit Assou-Ekotto with improper conduct for social media posts relating to the 'quenelle' gesture.

Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri and Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho have been issued warnings over similar incidents.

Ex-West Brom striker Nicolas Anelka was banned for five matches for a quenelle celebration in December and later terminated his contract with the club over the punishment.
