The boss of energy firm SSE has told ITV News he "agrees" with Labour leader Ed Miliband over freezing energy prices. He admitted the firm, which has pledged not to raise domestic bills until 2016, has lost several hundred thousands of customers.
Britain's second biggest energy supplier SSE announced it was freezing gas and electricity prices until 2016, saying they agree with the Labour leader Ed Miliband's plans.
The freeze comes amid a major investigation into the huge profits generated by the energy sector.
The company also announced it was cutting back on renewable energy investment and said 500 staff would lose their job.

Last September SSE came out against Labour's plans for an energy price freeze, but today the CEO seemed to forget these previous views.
SSE's decision to freeze energy bills is about protecting its shareholders as well as dealing with customers' concerns about rising prices.
