A teenage girl has been shot dead, police said. The 15-year-old victim has been named as Shereka Marsh, and she was shot in the neck inside a building in Hackney, east London. Three males were arrested nearby.

Shooting victim described as 'bubbly' and 'very funny'

A teenage girl killed in a shooting incident yesterday has been described by friends as "bubbly" and "very funny".

Mourners today paid tribute to Shereka Marsh, 15, at the scene of the death in Hackney, east London, laying flowers and leaving messages of condolence.

Chainelle Jennings, 16, was among a group of eight friends who gathered opposite the property where the shooting occurred.

"She was a nice bubbly girl and she loved to party, loved shopping. She was just like the kind of girl that you would have to fall in love with," she said.

Drew Percival, 16, a friend of the victim for three years, said: "She had a good mindset, she was very funny. She was more of the business type. She liked her clothes, it was all designer. She was very sociable, a lot of friends."
