After the emotional testimony of Samantha Taylor, we then heard the testimony of Peter Baba, a security guard at the estate where Pistorius lived and where he shot his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.
He was on duty early on the morning of Valentine's Day last year when the shooting happened.
He said he went past the house on his patrol at 2.20 am, and later on a neighbour reported the sound of gunshots at Pistorius' home, then Mr Baba called up to Pistorius' room, and he then told him, according to the witness: "Security, everything is fine".
But a few minutes later, we were told, Pistorius called back and didn't say a word, but he was sobbing.
Pistorius bowed his head during this evidence as he has done on so many occasions. He has just left the court after his fifth day on trial, and he will return to court on Monday morning.
Oscar Pistorius' defence will open their case on Friday and the Paralympic and Olympic athlete is expected to testify in the morning.
Oscar Pistorius was "probably not wearing his prosthetic legs" when he fatally shot his girlfriend, a forensic analyst told his trial.
Reporters discuss their views on the evidence while trays of coffee are passed along. At times it feels more like a cinema than a courtroom.
