Police re-capture government building in Donetsk

Police re-captured the administrative headquarters of the eastern Ukrainian city of Donetsk and have around 68 pro-Russian protesters in custody who are being questioned over the occupation.

Putin supervises Russian military 'live fire exercise'

Russian President Vladimir Putin spent the afternoon at Kirillovsky airfield in western Russia watching large-scale military exercises.

Putin, accompanied by the Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu and the head of the Russian army's main department of combat preparation Ivan Buvaltsev, watched naval warships and coastal troops conducting live fire exercises, the Russian defence ministry said.
