Russian flag raised in Ukrainian city of Kharkiv

Protesters in the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv stormed the government building and replace the Ukrainian flag with a Russian one. The protester was photographed at the top of the building, with the square seen below.

The protest was one of several pro-Russian demonstrations across the Crimea and along the border with Russian. Kharkiv is near the border with Russia.

The image, originally posted on Instagram, appears to come from a pro-Russian protester, who said:

"I am proud that I was able to participate in the confrontation with the militants, who came 'to peacefully protest' with knives in Kharkiv, and hoist the Russian flag on the building administration liberated!"
