'165,000 diseases' in children from passive smoking

According to a report by the Tobacco Advisory Group and Royal College of Physicians:

  • There are 165,000 new episodes of disease among children every year caused by smoking.
  • 300,000 primary care consultations.
  • 9,500 hospital admissions.
  • 40 sudden infant deaths.
