Electrical fault caused house fire that killed four

A house fire which killed two women and two young brothers is believed to have been started after an electrical fault, a fire service investigation found.

Jordan Green (left) and Tyler Green died in the house fire on November 20.

Jordan Green, 12, and his nine-year-old brother Tyler died with their mother Josie Leighton, 32, and her friend Claire James, 27, in the blaze in North Wingfield, near Chesterfield, on November 20.

In a statement, Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Thorough investigations point to an accidental fire caused by a fault in electrical wiring between the ground and first floor of the property.

"Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service would once again like to convey its thoughts and sympathy to the families of the deceased at this very distressing time."
