Camelot has said that despite an online petition calling for the Euromillions prize fund to be donated to the Philippines, the money does not belong to the company and so is not theirs to give.
While we fully appreciate the sentiment behind the petition and can understand why the suggestion has been made, the money from the £12 million EuroMillions jackpot on Tuesday night belongs to players in the nine European countries where the game is played, not Camelot - so it simply isn't ours to give.
