Four men convicted for the brutal gang rape and murder of a young woman on a Delhi bus last December have been sentenced to the death penalty.

Defence lawyers for four men who have received the death penalty for the gang rape and murder of a woman in Delhi have said they will appeal.
The death sentence must be confirmed by the Delhi's High court, and the men can appeal all the way to the Supreme Court, Reuters reports.
