A provisional trial date has been set at the Old Bailey for a 44-year-old man charged with the murder of PC Keith Blakelock during the Broadwater Farm riots in 1985.

Nicholas Jacobs, 44, has been charged with the murder of PC Keith Blakelock, who died in the Broadwater Farm riots in north London in 1985, the Crown Prosecution Service said today.
