During a visit to York, Prince Charles was asked by a well-wisher whether there was any news from the hospital about the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's baby.
The Prince replied, "Absolutely nothing at the moment - we're waiting."
The Democratic presidential candidate may also have shown his cards on his choice of running mate.
