The coach of Susan Taylor, who died in a charity swim across the Channel, has said she was "always smiling". Susan got into difficulty whilst attempting the challenge in a bid to raise money for Rainbows Hospice and Diabetes UK.
Susan Taylor's brother David Wright offered a moving tribute to his sister saying that he hoped her dedication would inspire others.
"We hope that Susan's dedication to promote these very important charities will encourage others to look beyond themselves and continue what she held so dear," he said.
Two charities have been inundated with donations after a British woman's attempt to the swim the English Channel faltered in its final mile.
The English Channel is one of the world's busiest shipping lanes, used by hundreds of cargo vessels and ferries every day.
