Magdelena Luczak, mother of Daniel Pelka, has told her trial she did not take her son to the doctors because he "would always have lots of bruises". Luczak and her ex partner Mariusz Krezolek, deny murder and causing or allowing the death of a child.
Magdalena Luczak said Mariusz Krezolek told her that if she fed her son Daniel, she would have to take the children and leave the house.
Asked why she didn't leave, she said: "First of all, I wouldn't be allowed to take the baby. Secondly, I didn't have any money. All the money was going into Mariusz's account."
The Democratic presidential candidate may also have shown his cards on his choice of running mate.
