Athletes 'given supplements'

Paul Boyle, manager of Asafa Powell and Sherone Simpson, has told ITV News the athletes were given 'supplements' by their physiotherapist. He says if any of the supplements were not legal, they had been supplied unwittingly.

Powell's publicist: Supplement supplier 'detained'

Tara Playfair-Scott, Asafa Powell's publicist, issued a short statement on the sprinter's official Twitter account claiming that an individual "who gave Asafa the supplements" has been detained by Italian police.

Fellow sprinter Tyson Gay earlier suggested he had been "let down" by a nutritionist who had supplied him with sports supplements.

"I'm going to be honest with [anti-doping agency] USADA, about everything, everybody I've been with, every supplement I've ever taken, every company I've ever dealt with, everything," he said.
